Proposal for a play area in Cawthorne
The Parish Council has formed a Council Committee to oversee and take forward the play facilities project. The final decision on design, location within the Orchard etc. will be taken by the full Council. Members of the Committee are Councillors Broadhead, Eyley, Hindley and Pogorzelec. Mr. K. Exton, Ms. E. Hollin and Mr. J–P Marsden have been appointed co-opted members to give greater community involvement in the project. All Committee meetings will be held in accordance with legislation and will be open to the public. Concerns of residents adjacent to the Orchard will be considered and taken into account when decisions are being made.
‘Street Clean’
The Council wishes to publicly thank a family of residents who voluntarily had a ‘street clean’ and cleared away a considerable amount of litter and rubbish. The Council would encourage other ‘street cleans’ and would support those who carry them out.
