Crime Prevention

There have been a number of burglaries in Cawthorne over the past number of months. South Yorkshire Police are aware of this situation and will be taken further preventative measures.

Anti Social Behaviour

Youths have taken to congregating in and around the Museum grounds at Taylor Hill, and are causing a nuisance to nearby residents. The Parish Council has alerted the Safer Neighbourhood Team to this problem.

Bus services through Cawthorne

The Parish Council has complained to the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive about the increasing incidences when buses which are scheduled to go through Cawthorne have not been doing so.

Grit Bins

The Parish Council has asked BMBC’s Highways Department to provide a few more grit bins at locations within Cawthorne village. Said department will visit the locations before the next winter season and assess the need for a grit bin. No further grit bins can be provided this winter.
