Parish Precept

At the January meeting of the Parish Council the Council resolved to set a precept of £21,000 for the financial year 2012 – 2013. This is some £8000 less than anticipated expenditure, taking into account grant allocations. Shortfalls will be taken from reserves.

Cemetery and Orchard Grass Cutting

The Council has again resolved to extend its grass cutting contract with T & D Contractors, Crigglestone.

Parish Council Grants

The Council has approved the following grants for the financial year 2012-2013:

Cawthorne Victoria Jubilee Museum Society- £500 funding towards the costs of security equipment.

Cawthorne Village Hall - £2500 towards maintenance costs.

Royal British Legion - £30 donation for annual Poppy Wreath.

Cawthorne Cricket Club - £1000 towards equipment for the Junior Section.

Cawthorne Toddler and Baby Group - £150 for new toys and a baby walker.

Cawthorne Bellringers - £500 towards a new floor in the bell ringing chamber.

Cawthorne Brass Band - £80 towards freestanding lighting units.

Cawthorne Playground Volunteers Group - £2000 towards the outstanding equipment costs.

There is also an allocation of funds for ad hoc applications.

Next Meeting of the Parish Council

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Thursday 2nd FEBRURY 2012, at 7.40 pm, in the Moxon Room, Village Hall. All parishioners are welcome, and are encouraged to attend at 7.30 pm. At the meeting Dr. Ann Gosse, Executive Director Development, Environment and Culture, BMBC, will be addressing the Council.
