State of highways and pavements

The Parish Council has raised with BMBC a number of issues concerning the state of highways and pavements throughout the parish. Cllr John Wilson, Ward Councillor BMBC for Penistone East is also raising these issues on behalf of residents.

BMBC plans for Cannon Hall

Dr. Ann Gosse, Executive Director Development, Environment & Culture, BMBC, gave a very interesting and informative talk to the Parish Council at its last meeting concerning BMBC plans for improvement works at Cannon Hall. A large grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund will be applied for by BMBC, but in order for the grant to be successful it will be necessary to show local support for the project, not only by the Parish Council but by residents. Further information on this project and community involvement will be circulated in due course.

Parish Council Grants - current financial year

There are still some limited funds available for small grants to bona fide organisations which have not already received a grant in this financial year. Please apply in writing to the Parish Clerk by the 20th February 2012.
