Annual report 2004-05

The latest set of audited accounts is for the year ending 31st March 2004. As detailed in last year's Annual Report finances for the year 2003 - 2004 were as follows: balances at the 31st March 2003 were £31,408, total income during the year was £18,238, total expenditure was £31,116, giving a balance at the 31st March 2004 of £18,531, all figures rounded up or down to the nearest pound as appropriate.

These accounts were audited in mid 2004, and received a clear audit report. In accordance with legislation the audit report was displayed on the Parish Council notice board for 14 days after receipt of it.

In respect of finances for the year 2004 - 2005, balances at 31st March 2004 were £18,531, total income during the year was £16,502, consisting of the precept, cemetery fees and donations, total expenditure was £18,940, giving a year end balance of £16,093, again all figures rounded up or down as necessary. These accounts will be audited in July 2005.

Again public notices will be displayed in due course as to the actual audit period dates, and the final audit report will be displayed after completion of the audit. Mr. Frank Matthewman has once again, on a voluntary basis, acted as Internal Auditor for the Council, and I wish to publicly thank him for continuing with this onerous task.
